Once the extent of the power outage was known, our teams worked quickly to mobilise a generator to the Lakes Entrance Aquadome.

The aim was to provide hot showers and a mobile device charging point for people impacted by the extended power outage.

We connected the generator and were undertaking our work to prepare the centre to open when the mains power returned.

So although we didn't use the generator for long, the positive for our teams was seeing that we can quickly activate the centre for an emergency response.

Following the outage on Tuesday evening, the Aquadome and Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre both re-opened at 4pm on Thursday 15 February.
